This isn’t a major problem but this car will sometimes get horrible gas mileage during “city”-like stop and go driving. It averages 20mpg city but sometimes it will only get like 10mpg and I’m feathering the gas pedal but the things burning unessesarily rich or something and it pisses me off a little. There’s quite a few miles on the engine but it was recently rebuilt, save for the intake manifold, and the fuel injectors are stock I believe so I’m thinking maybe clogged/bad injectors? or fuel filter? Should I try injector cleaners first before getting a set of injectors? What is the best and most worthwhile fuel system/injector cleaner I could purchase from autozone? Thanks a heap!!

Spend $245 for nothing, Took other garage. They checked by handy computer, said output sensor problem. Other garage said-knock sensor & speed sensor need to replace. I don’t know what to do. Any idea to save gas which is abnormal, like 8/10 miles one gallon. My car nissan Altima 97. Thanks for your cooperation.

To me it seems like the gas in my tank is burning faster than it has before. I have even tried conserving, like easing off the accelerator and everything else I can think of. I’m thinking I’m either imagining it, or the oil companies are pulling more tricks. Has anyone else noticed this or is it just me?
