Sometimes two or more lanes from both sides of the tracks are held up by long trains that seemed to slow down and some times stop for long periods,while dozens of cars are idling and going nowhere

If you knew you could save all of your gasoline receipts during the previous year and present a valid drivers license to the federal government at tax time. Wouldn”t it be nice to claim your gas consumption on your federal taxes and get decent refund for your money that you paid out in gas.
If you answered yes. Then call, write or e-mail your federal elected officials or go directly to their office and tell them you want a gasoline tax credit now. Oil companies are making big bucks. Why can’t we make our bucks too ?

If you wish to save fuel on a cold day, and you’re goint to leave your warm house for a half hour or so, should you turn you thermostat down a few degrees, down all the way, or leave it at room temperature?

We all know that an idling car gets 0 MPG, but how much time is alright?
10 seconds, it turns out. After that, an idling car wastes more fuel than a full startup would consume. In today’s modern fuel-injected engines, starting a warm engine is nothing.
Perhaps you’re concerned that continually shutting off and restarting the vehicle is hard on the engine. But studies show that frequent restarting has little impact on engine parts such as the battery and starter motor. The wear on components that restarting the engine causes adds about $10 a year to the cost of driving – money that you’ll likely recover several times over in fuel savings from reduced idling.
Excessive idling could also lead to engine damage. Idling doesn’t fully burn the fuel, and the leftover residue mixes with oil and sticks to engine parts.

cars? or at least doubling the tax on gas quzzlers? and whould that lower the price of gas and save it too instead of just bankrupting the country by not paying our taxes?

The tire wall says max PSI 51, and I filled them up to 50 PSI. It was roughly 75 F when I filled the tires. Should I decrease the amount of air in the tires due to them heating while driving??? Decrease pressure when it gets hotter outside???
Again I want maximum safe tire pressure.
