need help in adding extras to save some fuel?
i have a 1999 ford expedition with the 5.4l V8 and it has 97k miles. im getting 10.1 mpg right now even though i drive 3 miles to work and 3 back. i finally saved 500 dollars to add some extras to save on gas. i’m thinking of getting a cold air intake. maybe high performance spark plugs and spark plug wires. maybe throttle body spacer, if they even make one for my car. or use all the money and get a dual exhaust system. what about that tornado thing that used to come out on commercials a while back, you know you would put it inside the intake tube, i think. can someone help. and please tell me where i can get them, maybe autozone pepboys chekers or a website. and what brand should i go for

Use your money to buy gas your not going to improve your mileage any adding all that stuff.Trouble too short a drive you never get engine warmed up enough to get it off cold rich mode.
i think you should add a direct fuel rail, and fuel injectors fuel injected vehicles save alot of gas
I agree with Gary. But to add, cold air intake and exhaust will improve fuel consumption (and give more power) but with the added cost of installing those things, you would never get your money back.
