My family is trying to save money on fuel, but we need to keep the space. Right now we have a mini-van that gets about twenty five miles per gallion on the high way, I think.

Look for a 4cyl vehicle,I know some manufacturers make 4cyl SUVs.(in fact i think Ford is coming out with a hybrid expedition) try to avoid 6cyl, 8cyl vehicles because thats what really eats your gas. I know that the prius was voted most fuel-efficient vehicle this year but i’m not sure how much space it has.

That’s probably the best your family will get. The only other option I would suggest is the Ford Taurus X which was rated the safest 7 passenger crossover in America and gets about 24-25 mpg: http://www.fordvehicles.com/crossovers/taurusx/

Chevy has already come out with the tahoe hybrid full size suv.A good xuv would be the GMC acadia.25 mpg, AWD, 3rd row seating.

The honda cr-v gets around 27mpg though thats not much of an increase. Its gona be hard to get a good MPG increase without going down the “hybrid” though the downfall is hybrids are alot more exspensive then there none “hybrid” selves. Hope this helps.

We have an ’04 Chrysler Pacifica, 6 cylinder that gets about 25 on the highway. It has 3rd row seating. It is gorgeous.

Well the Crossover i like the most is the Buick Enclave its BEAUTIFUL in every sense of the word its very spacious and gas is 16 city and 24 highway, you can also look at the Saturn Outlook or The GMC Acadia also pretty nice…
You can also wait for the chevy Traverse which is a very nice Crossover too, coming out this fall it will do 17 city and 24 highway
