No, it won’t make any difference in fuel mileage. It will save a lot of wear and tear on your engine though. That’s one reason why regular oil changes are necessary. If you currently use a thicker oil (like 10W-40), switching to a slightly thinner oil like 5W-30 or 10W-30 will help SLIGHTLY in the fuel mileage department.
