is it possible to save fuel by disconnecting 2 injectors on v6? I do not carre about engine light now?
I would connect it in a way that whenever the brake pedal is pressed 2 injectors (one on each bank) would be disconnected. And when pedal is released it would be normal. Will pcm increase injector pulse width to compensate or what you people think?

i have red a lot of posts on this site and yours is the craziest so far.
i second that statement.
If you are that worried about saving gas why don’t you just buy a hybrid or something that will be cheaper on gas. Or why don’t you save some fuel by riding a bicycle.
If you unplug 2 injectors not only are you damaging your engine you will get worse gas mileage.
The answer to your question depends on whether or not your vehicle is pre or post 96. Although either way what you propose will not save you any fuel. When you have your foot on the brake pedal the engine is not working very hard anyway, unless you are powerbraking. And if the PCM detects an engine missfire it will usually increase engine speed to prevent a stall which would use even more fuel.
If you could release the compression at the same time you may have something there.but the other cylinders will be putting in more fuel to compensate for compression power requirements. So in fact you would not save gas. Thanks for the idea it gives me another idea that I think will work.
You may be right about the electronics fighting you if you disconnect cylinders. They would probably try to feed it enough fuel to keep the engine running, which might offset the disconnected cylinders. I’d wager if you simply shut down cylinders it would run horrible and vibrate badly, though it should still run with 4 out of 6… Also, if you just stop the fuel, the engine still builds compression in those cylinders with no explosion which wastes energy (the real systems partially open a port to prevent this.) You might run into some economy or pollutant issues as well, as the engine is metering air that the computer thinks is getting burned but it’s not, so some of the sensors might be getting fooled and do all sorts of interesting things.
Also, you use very little fuel when braking anyway b/c the butterflies close when your off the throttle and your not getting much air so the fuel consumption drops. The commercial systems that shut down cylinders do it during cruise.
Bad, Bad, Bad.
