Will it actually conserve gas?
I don’t mean putting your car in neutral, by the way. I mean not pressing the gas pedal and using the momentum from hills to drive.

not much, but it’s better than keeping th epedal to the metal all the way up to the light and then standing on the brakes. just like jack rabbit starts are’t very fuel efficient. if you practice all fuel saving techniques, including removing bike/ski racks when you’re not using them and proper inflation of tires, you can gain another 3-6 mpg.
