Indian car co Tata build 600cc minicar selling@ £1900. Given fuel cost in UK, is it likely to sell well here?

We all whine about petrol prices; this little car would serve many journeys although plainly not all. The Citroen 2CV and the Smart both have tiny engines and they sold well here. Are British drivers open minded enough to buy one? For starters, look what you save on price!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
