Try driving with the windows up (less drag from the wind) Try not to have the heater on full and to avoid full acceleration. Drive in a higher gear if need be. Also, drive smoothly not abruptly.

New fuel filter, spark plugs, cap and rotor. Put a small block under the gas pedal so you can not floor it.

Getting a tonneau cover will help by about 3-6MPG, thats what it did for my Sonoma anyway. Refrain from using the A/C or defrost because it also runs the A/C compressor to dehumidify the air being blown on the windshield. Also drive at the lowest RPM to maintain your speed in the highest gear while being off the throttle as much as you can. (the less the gas pedal is down the less gas you use, so if you have to use more gas in a higher gear to keep a lower RPM than in a lower gear with a higher RPM and less throttle, use the lower gear)

Hi,

I guess I’m one of the lucky ones because the price of gas doesn’t really bother me any more.

About 2 months ago I found the strangest website that explained how you could run your car (or any vehicle for that matter) on a mixture of gas and water. As you would expect, I initially dismissed it as complete rubbish but when I bumped into a friend that had converted his car and doubled his miles per gallon I decided to take a look.

I’m no mechanic but still managed to convert my Subaru in about two hours. I’m stunned that just plain water can make this difference but my engine now not only runs much quieter but gives me around 33 miles per gallon instead of the 26 I was getting before! It’s just like gas prices have dropped by 26%!

If you like you can see some videos and info about this water for gas idea at: http://offto.net/waterforgas/
