Toyota Corrolla.
Get a Honda. Very reliable and my Civic always gets between 25 – 30 miles per gallon.
try honda civic or the new toyota hybrid cars
Toyota Corrolla, Have one love it. Gets around 34-40 mpg. Takes about $35.00 to fill it up
Define gas saving.. You should drive a stickshift car, and be in the highest gear possible so as to have the RPMs at the lowest possible level at all times. Also, take the car out of gear when headed down large hills, and do not accelerate toward traffic lights that you know will change to red.
v.w. bug diesel 42 mpg
At this price range, you will have plenty of choices.
Here is a short list of the best:
Honda Civic LX
Honda Fit Sport
Hyundai Elantra SE
Nissan Versa SL
Nissan Sentra 2.0 S
Toyota Corolla LE (although this is a little vanilla)
All of them will have power windows, door locks, the basics. Most can be had with side curtain airbags, and I recommend purchasing it, even if you have to do a special order. They all get at least 35 MPG highway I believe, so they are rather efficient.
Hope this helps!
Well any car maker out there will have a car for that price with good mpg. Go to each website and pick the 1 thats fits you best. Saturns I feel are good little cars. I’ve owned 1 and had a company car that was 1. Both had high milage and still ran and drove perfect. Thats my vote.
