Avoid jackrabbit starts and stops. You can improve in-town gas mileage by up to five percent by driving “gently.”

The two best fuel saving devices are your brain and your right foot.If the golf is a diesel you will not do better than the manufacturer, save your money.Look at your tyres ,heavy fancy tread patterns can increase fuel consumption, check pressures for optimum performance on mpg, have the car serviced correctly as it should be,these are the areas where most drivers lose fuel performance figures.
I really really have a problem with these stupid “fuel-saver” devices, which are usually supposed to work on magnets ‘aligning’ molecules on their way to the engine… There is a word for such an idea, but it would get me another violation notice! Just believe me when I say I have a good level of understanding of the physical sciences, and that these devices are TOTALLY AND UTTERLY WORTHLESS, like a “cure” for baldness sold from a carnival wagon.
