I’m not worrying about either of them
people should live closer to where they work.
If people would refuse to commute for two hours, maybe companies would stop building office buildings and facilities where nobody wants to live or can afford to live.
I have wanted a street motorcycle for a long time. I just bought a new Harley and it is awsome. I am enjoying the sport and all the new friends. I do charity runs, fund raisers. My truck cost me $60 a week in gas. I have been riding my bike to work and now it cost $9 week. I don’t think my bike pollutes near as much as a vehical.
Save money, help the environment. Happy biker.
Buy a car which gets less than 10 mpg. It will help the world use up the world’s oil supply faster. Keep your air conditioner on 24 hours a day. If everyone did this the earth’s temperature would be reduced 1.5 degrees. Do not be fooled by the push to use the new type of light bulbs these are being pushed by some anti environmental group to pull a hoax on environmentalist. If everyone used the old fashion light bulb it would cut global warming 1%. When you go shopping have your groceries double bagged in plastic. For some odd reason it has been observed that the manufacturing process of shopping bag plastic cuts down the production of carbon in the atmosphere. Another thing worth noting it has been found that large buses pollute 65 times as much as a hummer. This was observed even if the bus ran on hydrogen. I guess this might change our whole way of thinking concerning public transportation. PLEASE DO NOT believe the poster below. The Hummer is actually a very very low polluting car. THE GWFFAA (Global Warming Facts and Fiction Assoc of America) rates the Hummer a 3 out of 200 in the amount of carbon released into the air. A hydrogen powered bus got a score of 198.
This one kicked the addiction to the refined petroleum fueled internal combustion engine driven personalized transportation unit-I WALK~or BUS it.
General Motors made the Hummer H2 truck SO heavy, that is weighs in as a commercial truck so it does not require much in emission controls- So it guzzles and pollutes at 3 times what other cars do.
Support the troops:Less gas we use the less we need the middle east means the less troops will be there
Just buy fuel efficient cars. That’s all that individuals can really do. The rest is up to the government, industry, and universities.
ELECTRIC cars, trucks, bicycles, scooters are available now. They don’t use any gas, and can be recharged by the sun.
I ride my electric bike to work and for most errands.
I would say “conserve, conserve”… but you know what, that isn’t really the American way. So vote with your pocketbook for solutions that work, that don’t make us settle for less.
For instance buy a diesel and run biodiesel. (a bunch of new models of diesel car are coming out in the next year.)
Think about where you live (out in car-dependent suburbia?) and consider whether you’d like to live somewhere more friendly to walking, bike or transit.
It’s really about making your own life better, in an ethical, conscious way.
