Make sure you have the correct air pressure in your tires. Check your owner’s manual to see what the recommended air pressure is. Also, clean out your car and your gas mileage will increase. Hope this is helpful!

i know there is some kind of fluid you can put in your gas tank once a month and it’s supposed to help with better gas milage. but no if your car is an automatic i don’t think that it would be too good for your transmission but i could be wrong so don’t take my word on that.

you can change gears while driving but you’re probably wasting gas. The higher the RPM the more gas you use.

Drive slower. Instead of 65 or 70mph, drive 55, and when your driving at highway speeds roll the windows up.
Tank up in the cooler part of the day. The gas is denser when it’s cooler and at the pump you pay for the quantity that is pumped not the density.
Empty stuff out of the car you don’t need. Less weight.
Tune up and maintenance your car regularly.
Don’t step on the gas hard from a stop and wait until the last second to stop. Saves on gas and saves on wear and tear on your car.

You can change gears while driving but it won’t help you save on gas mileage. In fact it probably will make it worse.
