I Have A 03 Ford Excursion, I Know It Sucks Gas! I Have Another Car. What Could Help With Saving Gas?

What could help? Ummm….drive the other vehicle and get ridof the excursion?
First of all don’t be fooled by gimmicks you see on ebay like “racing chips” and “ground wires”. Start by changing your fuel filter often. I think its every 45K miles but for only $5 a piece I change mine every other month. Next get some really good spark plugs. I use Autolite DBL Platinum. They cost a bit more but are worth it. With better plugs you get better combustion and less fuel waste in the chamber. Look into a performance K&N air filter or a cold air intake from ebay. These work nice and keeps the engine clean inside and out. Finally check out some performance mufflers. I have Flowtech Raptors on mine. They sound good in overdrive and I’m getting +3 MPG just with these I got from ebay for $25 each. Instalation was easy with a tail pipe cutter and some clamps. These are simple and fairly cheap upgrades to save gas. You can also change the headers and exhaust pipes but that gets pricey. Hope this helps you out.
