I Am Trying To Find Some Tips On Saving Money On Gas.?
I am trying to see if anyone knows by using regular 87 or plus 89 gas makes a difference? I would also like to know some tips for saving money on gas. I am getting gas once a week which I think is a bit much. I keep my oil changed when it is due and just wanted some additional tips on cutting down on the gas. Thanks!

octane really doesn’t matter as long as you are using the octane desingated in the user manual……that’s what your car’s ECU is calibrated for.
Other tips to get better milieage…..
Make sure your tires are properly inflated. Under inflated tires increase the car’s rolling friction consuming more fuel.
Lighten your vehicle……do you have crap in your trunk?
And finally, the big thing is imporving your driving habits. There have been articles with tests of the same exact car, one driven normally, and one driven with a focus on accelerating more smoothly and driving more slowly and the results were pretty impressive.
If I want to save money just for gas…
I’m cancelling cable this week. We pay almost $50/month just to have it in analog and we don’t even get or like to watch 90% of those channels. I’d rather invest that money. If the price keeps going up, we may have to cancel cellphones too. We will completely stop patronizing restaurants, movie theatres, festivals, amusement parks, video rental stores, malls, etc. No vacations period.
These businesses will surely feel the impact of the rising gas price.
We will have to meet our basic needs first – that’s food, water, shelter, clothing, gas for work, etc.
The best advice I can give you for saving gas is make sure all 4 tires are properly inflated look in your drivers side door and there is a sticker that gives you the right amount usually 30 pounds make sure your air filter is clean and make sure your not carrying anything in your trunk that you dont absolutely need your doing good so far as far as having your oil changed every 3000 miles
Most cars run just fine on 87. Keep your oil changed (3000 miles) air filter clean, tires inflated properly and a tune up every year.
