How to save gas with a stick shift car??
What is the best way to save gas on a 5speed car besides shiftin early???, i always thought that 5th gear is when ur gettin ur best gas miles, esp when ur drivin slow (40mph+) so wat do you think???

Keep your RPM’s under 3,000 for best gas milage. If you are cruising along over 8o mph and you are doing almost 4,000 RPMs, slow down a little.
5th gear will get you the best gas mileage, also don’t rev too much between shifts just get up to the speed limit gradually and try to stay at it, driving faster whether it’s stick or auto will decrease gas mileage
when you pull out in it ,keep the rpm,s low or at least under 2800 rpm,s and this will help save a lot of gas you wont be wasting gas to get it to go,don’t over wind the gears either this just waste gas,change as soon as you can without bogging it down ,and that should help a lot with it,good luck.
