Just got to $2.99 a gallon…and it sucks! There is not near the noise about it this time as there was last time it got this high! Who is supposed to out there PROTECTING the consumer?

Double what you pay – get smaller engined car/vehicles should save you some money on consumption

In my area, gas prices yesterday were around 2.90. I wouldn’t even know what to suggest for gas conservation on a farm. For me, I just try to do more planning ahead and consolidate trips as much as I can. Instead of going out to the grocery store twice in one week, I do a little more planning so I only need to go once.

I think this is such a good issue. We need to come up with a reliable alternative to gas. Solar and electric vehicles are definitely the way to start
As for right now, I’m sorry, I do not have any suggestions for you other than try to keep your activities to a minimum.

1.check the air filters on the trucks an replace if dirty.
2.if trucks have high miles check, clean and regap the spark plugs
3.buy gas in the late evening only, gas expands with temperature and you actually get a little more if you fill up at night (it is more dense)
4. avoid extended idling
5.accelerate slowly and slow down gently (stomping the brakes results in blowing gas out your exhaust pipe.
6.do not drive fast
7. make sure tires are properly inflated
8.avoid the use of air conditioning if possible
9.open the tailgate on the truck while driving, it reduces air resistance
10.drive with windows closed – see above

$3.39 to $3.49 a gallon here in Southeastern Wisconsin. Damn summer blend gasoline.

think you’ve got it bad? lol… gas costs me around $7.50 a gallon. get a small economical car is my only suggestion.

well living in California my gas price is $3.35 a gallon and the only thing i could suggest is to get a tune up and fill you tires up and don’t step on the gas pedal to much but keep the gas pedal steady when driving ADVIL UNO

Gas prices are not coming down. Once they’re up there and people are use to them they will stay high. Maybe drop a few cents but that’s all. Get use to it being high. It will not be long before the price of every thing will be going up because of the high price of gas.

Drive as slow as possible on the freeway in the correct lane—anything over 45-50 mph is not fuel eficient, slower is better. Tuneup and check tire pressure. Drive with a/c off and take out any un-necessary items in the car or truck…added weight lowers fuel economy. Look for the cheapest gas you can get.

use the cruise control , keep the rpm’s at 2000, tune up , properly inflated tires … eliminate unsessary weight ( stufff in the trunk u dont need )

Watch your speed. Make sure your car or truck is tuned up. Check your tire pressure.
