It depends on how you drive. If u accelerate hard not any but if you drive conservatively you’ll saver a couple gallons.
Alot ( between 2 – 6 miles to the gallon) and here is how! When you drive UP HILL, lay off the gas a bit and let the car get up the hill by using its speed. Yes your car will slow, and the steeper, the slower it will go. If it goes below 10 miles an hour of the orginal speed then give it a LITTLE gas to maintain the SLOWER SPEED.
Going DOWN HILL (biggest savings), put the car in nuetral and let it COAST as long as posssble until you are 10 miles an hour below your top of the hill speed. Your car will accelerate going down hill in neutral, and if you start going over 10 miles an hour over the speed limit you might want to hit the brakes to slow your acceleartion.
What you are doing is saving gas by letting the engine IDLE instead of being in gear, which saves gas every time your in nuetral and your are moving forward at speed.
Watch your RPM gauge and watch the needle drop when your “COASTING” in neutral going 55 miles an hour, your saving gas going down hill in neutral and slowing down a bit climbing hills. Plain and simple!
I know this saves gas this way and those numbers, because that is the way I drive, and it DOES save that much gas.
