How much are you spending on gas these days?

currently we spend about 20% of our annual salary on gas. we also combine trips and have slowed down to conserve. I don’t know just how much more our family can take.
Wow, it’s hard to pick a best answer, cause I feel for all of us. guess I’ll have to leave it up to the community. thanks for your answers!

I just spent $75 to fill up. It hurt. I do that about twice a month. I am lucky to work relatively close to home.

i started to carpool at work…. me and one of my co-workers live within 5 minutes of eachother so she picks me up and takes me home… i do have a small car… a focus and i can fill up my tank with about 40.00 but still, i used to be able to fill my tank with 10.00… major difference!!!!! something has got to give.. these gas prices are rediculous.. either pay us more so we can afford it… or lower the prices!!!!

$3.41 a gallon, 28 miles per gallon, average 20,000 miles a year. If I had to pay for a years worth of gas at the current price, that would be $8305.79. WIth my income being around 53K, that would be almost 16% of my annual income.

Wow, thanks for making me depressed……LOL.

I know what you mean. We have a ford pickup and a pathfinder. with the commute a few towns away, we spend up to $170 a week on gas!

Winter is gone :) so we don’t have to spend more than 30$ per month.

I moved to Korea about 2 months ago. The actual price of gas per gallon is about twice that in the States. It’s currently around $7.50 to $8.00 per gallon.

BUT, we have a great public transit system here and the streets are safe and walkable, so I actually drive a fraction of the miles I used to drive in the States. I probably spend maybe $50 per month here, whereas, in the states, I’d probably be spending 3 or 4 times that much (maybe more).
