Also, is it true that stick-shifts don’t use gas when coasting (down a hill for example)?

3 minutes, and if you put it in neutral on a stick it is like idling, so it wastes gas just not as much.
you save gas if your stopped for even 60 seconds, But you will wear out your starter with constant starting.
