What are governments and organizations doing to conserve natural gas reserves for the future?

Comments on How Is Natural Gas Being Conserved?
Getting rid of 24 hour running pilot lights on furnaces, hot water heaters,stoves, etc.
Requiring higher efficiency gas furnaces and water heaters.
Fixing and maintaining pipelines leaks.
Requiring oil wells to liquefy or pipe out their natural gas flares (natural gas comes up with oil when drilled and they usually just burn off the gas)
Nothing..we just use it and use it until its gone.
