How does making right turns conserve more gas than turning left?

Never ‘rev up’ your engine before shutting it off. It accomplishes nothing anyway.

it doesnt, it might sway the fuel on one side of the fuel tank so the gauge will indicate less fuel, but in reality nothing changes.
either direction has not variance to the fuel economy. the gauge might change more due to the location in the tank but once you are heading straight again it will recover.
When making a right hand turn, you can usually proceed immediately. While making a left turn, you will frequently spend time waiting for a safe gap and waste more gas idling. UPS did studies on this, and found it to save enough gas that they encourage all their drivers to make more right turns.
