why don’t you just always go the place that has the lowest price, like Costco if you have their membership card you can always get their lowest price.
I sit at Starbucks, drink several cappuccinos (each cup costs more than a gallon of gas) and complain about gas prices. Then I get up, get a lemon cake, go back and keep complaining.
Then I drive 10 miles to Costco, put their crappy gas in my car and drive 10 miles back.
Buy a Hybrid Car! Like a Honda Insight or Civic Hybrid, or even a Toyota Prius.
We traded a thirsty Ford for a Honda hybrid which gets about twice the mileage. I used to have a Diesel-powered VW which did even better, but unfortunately VW quality these days is not as good as one would like.
I save gas by slowing down and not driving as much.
In my case, buying a hybrid would be ineffective since ALL of my driving is highway and they hybrid technology would then be rendered ineffective since it’s dependent on stop and go traffic. So, not only would I be paying the same price for fuel, I’d be paying more in payments for a vehicle thats components aren’t guaranteed for more than 2 years. And yes, I did test drive a Toyota Prius and I didn’t like the power (or lack thereof) and was severly un-impressed with the fuel mileage.
Another way, I traded in my truck with a 5.8 litre engine for a small SUV with a 3.0 litre engine. For an SUV, it gets astounding fuel mileage. Pulling upwards of 28mpg (non-hybrid mind you) I figure it’s better than the 14mpg I was getting in my truck.
Regular maintenence is key for premium fuel economy. Regular tune ups, filter changes, tire maintenence will keep your fuel mileage at it’s highest.
I sneak out and drive my husband’s car on the weekends instead of my car. I’ve been getting great gas mileage on my car now!!!!!
shhhh just don’t tell the hubby haha
Slow down. You get 20% better fuel economy at 60 instead of 75.
