how can i write a good essay on how carpool helps to save fuel?

Here’s a list of what I can think of:

-The obvious answer is that one car used by a lot of people saves fuel because if everyone drove separate, then many cars would be driving on the road at the same times and that means the total amount of fuel being used is greater in a certain amount of time but you knew that.

-A big one is because when people carpool, there’s less traffic. When there’s less traffic, there’s less slowing down and stopping which wastes fuel. Driving smoothly and at a constant speed save a lot of fuel. That’s why they created carpool lanes and carpool parking. It’s to encourage carpooling which makes less traffic.

-A carpool lane can be utilized. In a carpool lane, a car can move more freely so with traffic, you don’t have to slowdown or stop as often on the freeway and slowing down and stopping wastes more fuel. You drive fast and constant and that saves the most fuel.

-If a person has a hybrid or a very fuel efficient car and a bunch of people carpooled in that car, then much more fuel is saved.

-Some parking lots have carpool only parking which saves fuel because then you don’t have to drive around everywhere to find parking. Even if there is no carpool only parking lots, more cars equals less available parking lots because they are taken by all the cars which then equals more driving around wasting fuel to find a parking spot.

-Less chance of getting lost. The more people you have, the better chance of someone knowing where to go and getting lost wastes a whole lot of fuel.

I’m sure I can think of more so just ask if you need anymore.

The carpool ideas would make a great piece of an essay especially because they are separate ideas that are all related.

Do it yourself. Get your neighboughrs to help pitch in with your project, and to arrange a carpool. This will take you through the process, and they will also chip in some points on a successfull or not successful carpool.
Remember, to analyze to good points and the bad points, and how they can be changed, or become more effective.

Also, look up cities that have successfully run carpool programs, and phone the city department to ask them about the ups/downs they have had, what they would do differently.
