Uhhhh… don’t drive it?
dont drive it at all..or buy a cold air intake and regular tune ups.
try to drive it softly i mean jst drive normally not so agressively and change gears at normal speed dont drive the car in a single gear for long time try to reduce the usage of break or so much acceleration dont accelerate the car when in NUTRAL/PARKING (either the engine is off) and try to clean the air filter and specially try to change the ENGINE OIL as soon as possible and use high quality OIL and dont change the brande (SHALL is best to reduce noise and gas) chk air pressure of tyres!! and use ON ROAD tyres not the OFF ROAD or SNOW tyres!! dont exceed over 75/KM/H!! BEST OF LUCK !! and if u r not satisfied with this BEAST so gift it to me !!
The absolute best way to save gas on this vehicle is to drive it carefully. Your driving style will be one of the biggest determinants of mileage. Pull away slowly from stops, find the rpm range that provides the most efficient use of your engine (~4400 rpm?), avoid routes that have lots of stop and go traffic.
Aside from this you can try to lighten the vehicle as much as possible (keep it free of junk, remove useless modifications).
Keep the air pressure correct in your tires.
DONT PUT ON ANYTHING THAT INCREASES HORSE POWER. increasing horse power means that you are burning more gas, yes the cold air is nice to have if you are increasing power Performance but you want to get better gas mileage not more ponys. if you have the money there are “CHIPS” that can help with this but at best you might get just a few miles per gallon. although high follow air intake filter help increase horse power they also help with the gas mileage by allowing more air to flow to your engine with less restriction making it easier to let your car breath, meaning less strain, and less strain means more MPHs. also keep your weigh that you haul light. the more weight you put in the car more the engine is going to strain and more strain = less MPHs. you can pick up the high flow air filter at any major auto part store from 40 to 100 bucks depending on the make of the filter. also dont use cheap gas the better quality gas you use the better the engine will run you might have to pay a few bucks more at the pump but you will have to fill up less offten.
buy a ford focus. there is no real way to make a big heavy suv, drive as economical as a cheap small car.
