How can I make a car trip of 1800 miles the least cost wise in fuel?
I have a 06 Tiburon and I have to go to Tennessee on the 27th of this month besides changing oil and oil filter what else can I do to economize fuel. Right now I’m estimating to spend $230. Any suggestions on how to save fuel?

correct tire pressure and drive under 60 mph.
You should fill up with premium unleaded before the trip, it will cost more but you will get better fuel economy on the highway. Use your cruise control and don’t drive above the speed limit, this will reduce your RPM and save gas.
Your driving habits are going to make the most difference. I would keep up with the flow of traffic, but don’t do something stupid/dangerous like driving 55 MPH while the prevailing speed of traffic is like 80 MPH. Use cruise control when you can.
As for filling up with premium, unless your car requires or recommends premium fuel (which the Tib doesn’t) you’re just throwing your money away. You won’t get any better mileage or better performance.
Getting an oil change probably won’t effect mileage either unless you use a lighter weight oil, and even then the difference will only be slight. As others have pointed out make sure you’re tires are properly inflated. The Tib gets pretty good gas mileage anyway, so it’s not like you’re driving cross country in a V10 F-350 or anything.
I did some math at it looks like you’re going to need about 72 (give or take) gallons of fuel for the trip which works out to be roughly $190 in fuel (approximately). So if the $230 doesn’t include food and hotel rooms, you should be good on money.
