don’t accelerate fast and keep it a steady pace. keep it under 55 for the best mileage
There are a number of things you can do …
Make sure that your tyres are inflated to the right pressure.
Dont drive with the window open (adds about 10% to your consumption).
Try to maintain an even speed – read the road ahead and ease off the gas rather than use your brakes. Remember every time you use the brake you are turning your speed into heat and throwing it away.
Turn off the air con – it costs another 10% or so.
Keep your speed under 55 or so – your consumption will rise quite steeply the faster you go.
Or the best way to learn to improve your fuel consumption – move over here to the UK where we pay the equivalent of $7.95 for a gallon of gas
Do not accelerate the car too much. After a certain level take your leg of the acceceleration pedal. This will conserve gas of your vehicle.
ride your bike
Beware here you might have a small fuel leak this could cause a fire , under pressure fuel lines may seap a bit even after shut down , check under vehicle for leaks and observe smell ……
