Comments on How Are You Saving On Gas Besides Siphoning It From Other Cars?
I am sharing 1 car for the wife and I and we parked our pick up. we only start it drive it a block or 2 once a week and park it again. we share my Honda fit and I drive it (yes Im the guy you keep cussing at) at 60 miles an our max. I keep my windows rolled up with a cold drink in the car and the fresh air vents open. no windows down. I can get up to 38 miles per gallon this way, windows down 32. 34 with A/C on and windows up. I SAY lets get a Park your Car 1 day a week to protest the prices. If you agree with me go to ask and post a question of Park it 1 day and lets see if we can get this started to drive em down.
I am walking more
I am riding my bike more
I am no longer doing sudden stops or fast starts at the light
I am doing the speed limit
I am keeping regular maintenance on the car- oil change, air pressure, air filter
I switched internet/Tv service for a saving of over $40
I am only paying cash for items- no more credit card usage
classic cars are being parked more and only driven to car cruises
(they use racing gas)
