My favorite is OPG (other people’s gas). I know my neighbors have to go out 2 times a day to drop off and pick up their kids from school. So, I ask them to pick up items like a gallon of milk for me on their way. Then, when I go out, I call and ask if they need anything in return. I stack trips as efficiently as possible and always make sure I have at least 3 places to go on one trip. I try to make all right turns because I waste less gas than waiting for an arrow or idling in the middle lane waiting for an opening. I also don’t gun the gas when taking off from a light (hard habit to break), when I see the light changing ahead, I coast into it taking my foot off of the gas and letting the car slow to a stop. I saw a segment on our morning news that said if you drive like you have a cup of coffee on the dash it saves you gas (no fast starts and stops), so I’ve been trying that lately.
Best advice of all: park it.
Walk, bike, car pool, public transit.
Make sure your tires are inflated to their proper pressure. Also, empty your car out of anything not necessary, garbage, books, extra CD’s yada yada.Try and stay out of stop and go traffic. Good luck.
What kind of vehicle do you drive? If you drive a SUV try to sell or trade your vehicle in and get smaller vehicle which you can still use to support travel desires. If you get a foreign vehicle your probably get higher gas millage and even better trade in value.
55 mph on highway, proper tire inflation, easy acceleration and braking, remove excess weight from the vehicle, turn off the engine and go inside instead of using the drive thru. gasbuddy.com has local gas prices all across America to find the least painful pumps.

I put this magnet on the fuel line of my car.
My mileage went from 18.5 to 20.5
That’s an increase of 11%
Here’s the best part:
I don’t have to keep buying fuel reformulators to put in the crankcase and gas tank.
Just a simple magnet that attatches to your fuel line that REDUCES the size of the fuel to match the size of the air so the vehicle burns fuel more efficiently.
There are several things you can do. First thing I did was start taking my lunch to work instead of eating out for lunch. You can also car pool and I heard that this works too
