If you put a lid on it and no water gets in it then you might be able to reuse
Technically yes, but the risk of introducing water or dirt back into a freshly-fixed car is usually not worth it. A tiny amount of grime or dirt in the gas has the potential to put your car back in the shop.
Do you have a lawn mower or something like that you could use the gas in? Filter it with a coffee filter before you pour it in. And, as always, make sure you store that gas in a covered container far away from any flames (including hot water heaters and household appliances)
Open container, like a bucket or pan very bad idea! First of all fire potential increases a lot! Second one,- container evaporates rapidly, and what is left is not necessarily good for engine! If poured into a can with a cover on it and store with safety precautions, it will still be good after a couple months! Though “modern gas pretty much crap, and does not last for long time with out becoming denatured and becoming bad! Ruins hundreds of thousands of small engines every year because people do not drain mowers, weed eaters etc. before putting away for winter…. Solution is a gas stabilizer like “Stabil” which is available almost anywhere! If you are going to put away a car for several years, fill tank, and put in proper amount of stabilizer, — save several hundred dollars getting things cleaned up and flushed so engine will run properly again!
Yes as long as the gas is clean, if not use a filter and clean gas.
