I have a Saturn SL 2 and my question is, does using the TRAC feature save on gas at all? It limits the wheel rotation, but does that save on fuel since it limits the RPMs?

Hi All,
I have a 1998 Wrangler sport. 4.0L 6 Cylinders. I would like to disable 3 cylinder to save some gas. Anyone did that?
I assume the 6 cylinders, each one contribute to 60 degree and
I disable one and other. then each cylinder contribute to 120. The motor should still running smoothly. Am I correct?

i understand the idea of using less
but at this point
most americans are using as little as possible
how can we save money
whether you have alternative fuels, or any ideas……as long as it saves me money in the long run
also….can you tailor any of these ideas to a teenager (im 16 with a trucj that gets aroun 22mpg)

what should the target RPM be whats the best speed to shoot for, whats better run the a/c or leave the windows down or would that cause to much drag make the engine work harder and it would be better to run the a/c its a automatic 4speed v-6 if that relevent
on the interstate for a long distance drive target engine rpm. mph? windows verse ac?

the official combined figure in the UK for the Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.7 hemi is 18.3 mpg and the extra urban (highway) is 23.5 mpg. obviously these are horrific, but im wondering if these figures dont account for MDS. i think you would get more than 23mpg when you are effectively running a 3.0 4 cyl engine.
has anyone used MDS or read anything that can tell me how well it works? i mean for all i know it may mean you can do 10mpg more when you are driving slowly or it could be just a little extra 1mpg.
When im choosing between a bmw x5 4,6/4.8, jeep grand cherokee 5.7, porsche cayenne 4.5, vw touareg 4.2 or 5.0, mercedes cl 5.0, 5.5, 6.0 or 5.4, among some others. basically im choosing which big engined car to buy, so taking into account which does the best economy, which i thought might be the jeep due to mds is not stupid.
i see what you mean with increasing throttle to the other cylinders

If we keep filling up once it gets down to half a tank will that save us money?

A lighter car would have better gas mileage. Filling tanks only half way would decrease a demand for oil being processed into fuel (maybe?) and cars would become a little more economic. Does anyone think that would help at all?
