Does it actually save any significant amount of fuel to drive a 30MPG car 3 miles rather than a 25MPG SUV 3 miles, going the same route, distance, speed, etc?

It seems if your talking about 3 miles per day, how much are you going to save over a year? 25mpg is not bad. it could obviously be better like the 30mpg, but if you drove 75 miles per day. that adds up quickly. the problem with driving such short distances with a large SUV is the thing cant even warm up.
