First Car for a 16-year-old?
Hi everyone.
I’m looking for my first car and have narrowed my search to four different vehicles. Please don’t post stuff deriving my character. I’ve been saving for the past 6 years and made about $4,000 a year. I’ve been working hard for this day and I want to know which one will be the hit of the school well still being a safe, and reasonably reliable vehicle.
PS Gas consumption isn’t a top priority-my dad owns a local gas company so I kinda get…free gasoline… Insurance is a small priority. My parents said they would pay for it, but I don’t want to be outrageous, for their sake. Also, repairs/service bills is a concern. My dads company does mechanic work and can do some work on bmws and benzes (oil changes, basic stuff) but most stuff will have to be done by the dealer. Also, theres a BMW dealer 5 min from my house but the benz dealer is an hour away.

lol, sorry, but those cars cost a lot more than 4 grand. buy a Honda Civic.
IMO, i say just buy a decent car. Maybe around $10k. Theres no need to have a $20k car when you are 16. Save your money.
It should be 4-door, 4-cyls, not sporty. I would prefer Honda or Toyota… First time drivers usually have much more expensive car insurance, and it depends from car. You should compare insurance rates while choosing the car – for example here – carquotes.sinfree.net
