Do not rev engine before shutting it off; this wastes fuel and can dilute motor oil, leading to excessive wear on engine parts.

What year SS? Is it the naturally aspirated or the supercharged/turbocharged? There’s quite some difference on the mileage between the three versions of the SS!
I have an ’09 SS/TC. The turbo’ed SS can be very thrifty on gas, so long as you drive gently (its extremely fun to ‘get on boost’ – and that costs you). I’m currently getting about 25 mpg with about 40/60 highway/city driving, but I’ve hit 29-31mpg during calm weeks, and about 34 when I’ve taken long highway jaunts.
The cost to fill up the tank depends on the price of gas, obviously! Essentially no difference in cost between any other car in its class.
