NO, this is a common myth. Your gas mileage at a traffic light is zero. Because you are not moving this will not help you. Also, you should know that your consumption will be based on your RPMs, which will probably increase when shifting to neutral. To help with fuel mileage, you may want to look at new filters, use the a/c and not roll your windows down, and driving like a grandma will not help enough to see a difference.
