Does it save gas to put your car in neutral when you’re at a stop light?
Does it not make a difference? Some say it’s bad to change gears unnecessarily. Please let me no if thats true. Thx.

no does not matter
The difference it makes is sooooooooooooo small that it’s negligible, probably offset by the additional wear you get from shifting in and out of neutral.
By negligible, I mean you might notice if your car was in a science lab and gas usage was measured by some really precise instruments.
HA HA HA
not at all
it saves gas to go slower and not stop, going from 0 – moving is when you’re most inefficient
No,you might put in reverce by mistake one day to.
are you talking about an auto or manual?
autos – it might save a tiny amount but you are creating extra wear changing in and out of drive when you really don’t need to. most modern cars will sort all of this out for you.
manual – it is better to put it in neutral and let the clutch out. every time your foot is on the clutch pedal you are making the throw out bearing spin. while it is made to do this if you think of how many times you sit at traffic lights the poor old bearing is getting a big work out causing it to fail a lot earlier. if you are sitting in first with the clutch in or sitting in neutral it won’t be using any more fuel in either.
