Does gasoline stop working if opened for a long time?
I had a gas can in my garage for about two weeks , i accidentaly left the cap off of this can. can i still put this can into my car, or with the fumes excapeing if i did would it make it so my car will not run? please help i have over 8 gallons out there and if i can it will save me money. can i still use it or will it stall my car. thanks.

The gas should be OK, but it depends on the conditions in the garage. Was it cold or hot, dry or humid?
it’s ok — just don’t leave over a month or two (like don’t save boat
motor gas for the next season, or snowmobile gas for the next
season)
I’m just guessing here but I think the gas is still usable. It may have moisture in but you could probably put some gas treatment (STP?) and it should be ok. Oh and check to make sure nothing like bugs or other stuff got in the can before you use it.
