this is a metalic deivce with fins that goes into the intake hose and makes the air twist before going into the engine. they have been advertising this item on tv for a long time and it seems very intresting but i am not sure if it really works the way they say it does or not. any one who has tried this item on your car i would be thankful to hear about your thoughts about it.

NO . These products are scams>tom thorbureson on car and driver radio I believe it was ( i cannot spell his last name) did a study for the government on all these things and got no better mileage then before. What they fail to tell you is that the before numbers are recorded, then the old cars are given a complete tuneup and the piece is installed and then new mpg #’s are produced… no wonder they are getting better mileage,

This is one of those products that is all in your mind, and does nothing. It doesn’t matter how the air enters into the intake, its going to be at the same speed. This has been proved wrong by so many people, it even had an episode on “Mythbusters”, and they came to the same conclusion that it was a waste of time and money. It doesn’t matter if the air is “twisting” before it enters, in the cylinders the air to fuel mixture will still be the same. I knew it was a scam right when they said it will save on gas, and give you a gain in horsepower. These are two things that do not go hand in hand. If you want more horse power, you’ll have to burn more fuel to accomplish this, if you want more efficency, you need less fuel, right there that selling line they give you contradicts itself. Don’t waste your time

Absolutely no reliable data to support the claims.
Countless analysis of this and similar devices have never shown any validity.
Testimonials are purely subjective anecdotal accounts and are largely explained by simple cognitive and perceptual mistakes.
