no just your battery
No if it worked like that then you couldn’t use the radio while the car was off. All it does is use your battery.
The difference, if any, would be so small that you’d never be able to tell.
no not on drop its just your battery
No. That is only true for the air conditioning system. The stereo won’t put enough drag on your engine to use more gas.
No
Its funny how everyone says just your battery,
No driving with the radio on off makes not different to your gas mileage only to you alternator,
but driving with AC and Heat does, anything that makes you engine force more, makes it waste gas. If you stay in cruise control it helps you mileage better, not smashing in the accelerator makes a big different and now tires makes different, and regular tune-ups
No
plus it does not “use” battery because when the car is running the alternator keeps the battery charged, so if you have a big sound system and your alternator is not up to par it could have a very very very small effect (too small to notice/measure)
High power sound systems (as in ~1000w+ rms) will cause the alternator to work harder, which in turn puts a very small additional load on the engine, but not enough to have any real effect on gas mileage.
