does driving in manual mode in a CVT save gas or have an impact on the transmission at all?
I like driving my 2008 Lancer GTS in manual mode all the time, and im just curious if it saves gas or hurts/helps the transmission. I know driving a full blown manual is much nicer to the transmission.

why did you buy a cvt then?
its going to be better on gas in drive, not manual mode
It depends if you are constantly redlining or not. If so drive will help of course.if babying it in Manuel you may see an improvement.
