I’ve been hearing a myth if you are going to be waiting more than a minute and half, its equivalent to starting your engine in the same time period.

Change your oil. Clean oil reduces wear caused by friction between moving parts and removes harmful substances from the engine. You can improve your gas mileage by using the grade of motor oil in your owner’s manual and changing it according to the schedule recommended by your car manufacturer. Motor oil that says “Energy Conserving” on the performance symbol of the American Petroleum Institute contains friction-reducing additives that can improve fuel economy.

Yes you do, but it’s very unsafe, and in some states, illegal.
Don’t bother.
it wouldn’t be orth it unless you were sitting in it for a decent amount of time.. and its not good for your transmission to be restarting your engine that frequently… instead of turning off your car, try cutting down your trips, and determining which trips are unneccesary .
You will save an extremely small amount of gas. Less than 4oz a minute. Some idiots will tell you that you use more gas to start the engine. The only time your engine gets more fuel when it is started is when the engine is cold.
You will wear your starter out faster so there really isn’t any benefit to shutting your car off. It would also be really fun to be sitting at a red light with a dead battery or have your starter crap out.
no/fuel that is in lines bleeds off a bit and then it needs a boost of fuel to start again/most stop lights are not 1.5 min/more like a min/doesn’t pay
Yes it would, but i don’t bother it’s not long enough plus you don’t know when you will get moving again.
I turn off my car though if a train is crossing. Sometimes those things take 10 minutes to cross.
lots of new model cars are now coming with this ability. There is a fuel saving to be had this way or why would manufacturers do this ?
