Not enough info. Mabey you don’t even need a lifter. If you have a stuck lifter sometimes you can get them to pump back up by 1. making sure you have good clean oil 10w30. 2. with the engine fully warmed up, hold the rpm steady at around 3000 rpm for 2 or 3 minutes. Pay attention to the temp guage. If it dosent pump itself up then you might have to change it.

is their anything you wont try, very impressive, but, usually people get in over their heads, and cost themselves more, or get a mech to help. Offer a beer or two.

First, it might not be a lifter problem but instead spark-knock caused by vacuum advance not working or even your oil too thin or dirty. There are numerous problems that can cause this symptom. It could also be a weak oil pump. First, check your oil pressure with a reliable guage. If the OP is ok then you can narrow it down from there. If you are sure it is lifters you can change them easily. Just be sure to check the rocker arms and cam lobes for wear when you tear it down because if they are worn a new set of lifters will still let it peck.
