Do you make more right turns now?
I just heard a news story that Fedex has changed their truck routes to avoid left turns and they are saving tens of thousands of dollars in fuel costs. They don’t sit in a left turn lane idling their fuel away.
Something to think about.
Thanks canamryd… – The other recommended practice was to shut off your engine in drive-thru lines, and if the lines are long, park and get it as a take-out.

Both FedEx and UPS have been doing that for years.
And yes I do it too.
I also shut down my engine if i’m there for more than 20 seconds.
I don’t think it’s true to save money turning right….. Sometimes you have to go an extra mile or more just to be able to turn right,if your able to at all…. Sometimes you just can’t turn right at all to get where your going….. By the time they change the route to be able to turn right every turn they probably end up going 10 miles out of the way,,by my guess thats more gas used then just going where you need to go….
