Do I need to put premium fuel in the tank? TSX?
I understand that my performance will be slightly better with the higher octane, but if I am looking to save a few dollars, can I use the regular or midgrade in my 2004 TSX?

You can, but performance and mileage will be degraded.
I always use premium in my gtp it cost a little more but u get better response, and burns cleaner than reg or mid.
You have to use 91 octane or higher, so in most cases you always have to use premium fuel unless the midgrade is has 91 octane or higher.
you should be fine with the lower grade fuel the only draw back is that there isint the additive in that lower price fuel that helps keep carbon deposits down
Don’t do it! use exactly what your owners hand book says. And advantage of price will be gone if the engine gets only two more miles a gallon using premium over the 16 gallon tank. Pinging/spark knock, means the fuel is exploding not burning. Slow burn makes more heat and power. Best way to save is keep tires inflated to owners manual spec. Wax your car and drive smoothly. Forget about around town when the car is in second gear it won’t get mileage. Buy the way thats a nice Car!
I always use regular & see no need at all to use the higher price stuff & my vehicles always run fine.’
Yes you may use regular!
higher octane dont really make any difference in newer vehicles. In older Yes. Newer No.
Why not just go 1 tank regular,1 tank midgade, 1 tank premium and once in a while put in a fuel injector cleaner.
