Air filters do not regulate fuel flow, only air flow.
A clean air filter will allow the engine to draw in air unrestricted, easily.
A higher performance air filter allows air to flow a bit easier and work best when changes are made to allow more fuel to enter the engine at the same time.
Bolt on horsepower is limited and work best in conjunction with other more expensive additions to the intake system.
no they don’t ! they let more air in the motor easier . They actually make the air fuel mixture more efficient and thus use less gas or more miles per gallon etc.
high performance air filter can not force any additional amount of gas to be burned and thus can not affect horse power.
they flow air better than a conventional filter so you get a tad more horsepower and a little better gas mileage.
