im skeptical, if they really can do this with a chip, then why does the car not come with it already?

They work by changing how the computer controls your engine. They adjust timing, shift points, air to fuel ratios and such. Cars come off the line designed to give good performance but still meet regulations for pollution and mpg.

not only does the chip boost performance, but you can install what is called a Tornado, it is an air filter that you never have to change, only clean it once in a while. It improved the gas mileage on my F159 Ford p up. as well as several other vehicles my father in law owns…. give it a try before the chip … the chip is pretty expensive but the Tornado will pay for itself shortly.

Good luck

Ever bought a vegemoatic, they work, then they sit on the shelf for years.
The 1909 Ford Model T got 24.8 MPG, it hasn’t gotten much better since that. 100+ years of Auto making and now we are talking about going BACK to electric cars.
In 1901, while employed at Lohner Coach Factory, Ferdinand Porsche designed the “Mixte”, a series-hybrid vehicle based off his earlier “System Lohner-Porsche” electric carriage. The Mixte broke several Austrian speed records, and also won the Exelberg Rally in 1901 with Porsche himself driving. The Mixte used a gasoline engine powering a generator, which in turn powered electric hub motors, with a small battery pack for reliability.

The 1915 Dual Power, made by the Woods Motor Vehicle electric car maker, had a four-cylinder ICE and an electric motor. Below 15 mph (25 km/h) the electric motor alone drove the vehicle, drawing power from a battery pack, and above this speed the “main” engine cut in to take the car up to its 35 mph (55 km/h) top speed. About 600 were made up to 1918.[11]
As PT Barnum said, there is one born every minute, and it has been true for three centuries of Automotive Design.
Buy the chip, then the Tornado Vortex water device , then the Fuel additive and get that special oil, your warranty is only good for X miles or XX days. Internal Combustion autos get about 15-30 MPG, depending on weight and other factors.
Cugnot built a steamer in 1768, Porche buit an Electric Race car in 1901, then came some idgit figured out how to refine Oil, been a slow backwards slide ever since.
I do not know about a chip to save gas, but I have been to the fair and bought a magic decoder ring also.
It never really worked.
