Chips, do they work? do they really save gas and improve HP, if so, how?
im skeptical, if they really can do this with a chip, then why does the car not come with it already?

I have a friend that put a chip in his mustang and it goes faster and even gets better gas mileage than a V-6. Blows my mind on this.
They work by changing how the computer controls your engine. They adjust timing, shift points, air to fuel ratios and such. Cars come off the line designed to give good performance but still meet regulations for pollution and mpg.
all cars built since the early 90′s are computer controlled . The timing, fuel flow, horse power, etc is all controlled by your cars computer. changing the chip can easily change the settings to adjust your car.
yes the chips do work ! they change timing, fuel delivery, and egr flow all to work in favor of power !! they also increase trans line pres. for improved shifts. also a cold air intake with an improved air filter will also help horse power and fuel mileage !!
