Not a good idea on a steep grade. Hard on brakes.
Shift down to 2nd.

Yes you can but coasting is illegal in most all states and as for save gas tips try this site…………..

if you save any at all, it wont be that much, besides its illegal in most states and besides that, what gas you do save(if any), you will use that money on new brakes.
