Not much, run synthetic. If you want to save money, be very careful how you use the gas petal

Thinner motor oils like 5W30 can save a very tiny percentage of your fuel dollars versus a thicker oil like 20W50, but it would not be significant enough for you to notice. The most important thing is just to keep fresh oil in your car, run the occasional hi-quality (the strongest of these are sold in metal cans versus plastic bottles) fuel-system cleaner through your gas tank to keep your engine’s injectors clean, and regularly check to ensure your tires are properly inflated.

Not that I know of but it will save your engines life and, if you want to save gas keep your car tuned up, you know change your air filter, spark plugs and wires, possibly the plug cap. I’m not sure how often you do that but if you do that it will save you gas since your engine is running more efficient. Like someone else said be easy on the gas.

Motor oil, in and of itself, doesn’t save gas mileage. However, preventive maintenance on your vehicle is important, and getting an oil, lube and filter every 3,000 miles is a must to help keep your car in tip top condition. People will tell you that you only have to get an oil, lube and filter every 5,000 miles. That is true, but 5,000 is the maximum. If you want to keep your car a long time, 3,000 miles is what you should shoot for. So, if you keep your car in the best shape you can, you should be getting maximum gas mileage for your vehicle, (whatever that maximum number is for each vehicle). Good luck

Sure, but very little. I think you’d get more if you kept 2 lbs more in the tires, and kept the air filter new. I would never put lighter oil in, maybe synthetic, but never light.

Sure, clean oil will make the engine perform better. Change it every 3000 miles and use 5W30 oil and don’t forget to change the filter also. Don’t add any thing to the oil.

Yes use a thinner oil, less stress on the motor saving in fuel and life on engine

yes, most of the newer engines aside from the hybrids are calling for 520, the thinner the oil the less an engine has to work to pump the oil.
