Better Gas Milage Tips?
I own a 1994 Audi and i’m looking for some good tips on conserving gas and getting better gas milage. Also i was looking at some websites for ways to conserve gas and i need some help anwsering this question. It says on the website to roll up my windows when i’m at highway speeds because of the drag and that the drag can reduce my milage by 10% and i’m just wondering if i had the air conditioner on how much would my milage be down and if its accually worth it to roll up my windows and use my ac or not.

I like Audi’s , but I think it is time for you to trade it in for a Prius. 48 MPG.
well…I am not a car whiz but i know a thing or two. First… when you are on a hill, or coming to a stop put her in neutral.
When you are coming to a stop don’t speed up and slam the brakes. Slowly slow down and usually it will turn green before you come to a complete stop and you remain moving or at least you will save a little gas by not slamming the brakes. I heard that you should ride on the highway behind a semi. It’s supposed to keep the air flow out of the way or something. I also coast (neutral) on the highway or at least use cruise control, it keeps me from accelerating when I don’t need to.
Back to your other question, I believe that air conditioning circulates air, so you would have an even amount of air in your car. But, air conditioning uses more gas. Only use the AC when you need it.
It is a great investment to get a hybrid or prius~~but, they come with there woes believe me… If you are going to get a new car (if only we all could!!) I would get a more gas efficient car like the Honda civic. it isn’t a hybrid but it almost the same results.
I hope I answered your question ( I am thirteen and just thinking off the top of my head)
Some gas mileage tips include: having your tires properly inflated, clean clean air filter. having your engine in proper tune, no jack rabbit starts, do not go over the speed limit. Let off you gas to come to a stop. This these can save you 10 to 20 percent or more in fuel.
the biggest savings come from driving style, and it can be controlled with the Scangauge multimeter.. if your car doesn’t have a mpg computer, you can add this one and use it to drive better and get better mileage..

highway speed windows up a/c on if needed, town driving windows down a/c off, tire inflated properly, clean air filter, oil & plugs. drive 60 or below on highway, remove any extra weight from auto if not necessary(keep trunk and back seat clear of excess)
